David Braun

David Braun is a veteran storyteller who has produced thousands of articles on National Geographic’s research and exploration. Many of the most popular stories were published in his No. 1 bestselling fun-facts book, National Geographic Tales of the Weird. In his 23 years with the Society, including as vice president and editor in chief for National Geographic Digital Media, David traveled on assignment to more than 80 countries. He has accompanied National Geographic Expeditions private jet trips, National Geographic-Lindblad expedition cruises, and National Geographic safaris. David is also a Fulbright specialist and mentors National Geographic grantees and Fulbright fellows in storytelling.
