From scientific research to robotics innovations, Jennifer has become a leader in technology development for the International Space Station and later for NASA’s first missions to the Moon since the Apollo program. She also utilizes space-based photography to monitor changes to the planet’s climates—its oceans, mountains and forests—providing unique and timely insights that are otherwise challenging to measure.
As an official US Department of State Speaker, Jennifer has addressed the connections between space, Earth observation and conservation before the United Nations General Assembly, as well as at international organizations, Fortune 50 companies and space agencies. Over the years, she has travelled to more than 60 countries across the globe—from Antarctica to Africa to the Arctic—photographing dynamic landscapes and sharing her passion for space technology. Jennifer also serves on the NASA Resources for Exploration & Science of OUR Cosmic Environment (RESOURCE) team, a project funded by NASA's Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute (SSERVI), which enables the development of advanced camera systems, as well as new photography and video techniques on the Moon..
