Lynda Goff

Lynda Goff is a Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz where she has served for more than 30 years. She has taught and led research expeditions on all seven continents including six field seasons in Antarctica and several in British Columbia, Alaska and the Arctic. She has published more than 125 scientific papers and several books on marine plants, evolution, symbiosis, and adaptations of Antarctic and Arctic organisms. Dr. Goff has received numerous national and international awards in recognition of her outstanding teaching and research. She is an elected Fellow of both the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences and the California Academy of Sciences. Most recently, Lynda has worked at a state and national level to help the United Stated address its need for furture scientists, engineers, and science and mathematics educators. Dr. Goff is a broadly trained naturalist, a highly acclaimed nature photographer, and an award-winning bird artist
