Milos Radakovich

Born in Yugoslavia, Milo's love of nature and the ocean began with summer vacations to the Adriatic Sea, before emigrating with his family to America in 1960. After graduating from SF State University in 1971, he attended the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories (MLML), learning about marine mammals and birds, intertidal biology, kelp forest ecology, coastal dune dynamics, scientific illustration, and the development of underwater technologies.

From grade schools to university; Elderhostel programs to corporate groups; Milos has over 25 years of experience conducting fun and innovative classroom and outdoor programs - natural history and whale-watching cruises, as well as walking, cycling and kayaking tours along the central coast.

Widely recognized for his work in education and conservation, Milos has received the MBNMS Educator of the Year award (1998), the AMBAG Citizen Award (1996), and the Environmental Hero award (2001), presented by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
