Boca de Soledad in Magdalena Bay, 2/3/2020, National Geographic Sea Bird
- Aboard the National Geographic Sea Bird
- Baja California
As we transited to the north end of Magdalena Bay, Stanford professor Gail Mulhood gave a fascinating presentation titled “Whales: Evolution Shaped by Plate Tectonics and Ice Ages.” In the afternoon we went whale watching in small boats at Boca de Soledad, or “mouth of solitude.” Our day finished with a delicious Mexican Fiesta dinner and music from local musicians.
