Today we headed on a pre-breakfast outing to explore more exotic inhabitants of the Peruvian rainforest. We went on a ride along the river to spot a large number on birds and a couple of mammals on the riverbank. There were some early riser species seen on the tree canopy. After a small skiff ride, we visited the “Amazon Natural Park”, where we hiked into the deepness of the rainforest. Along the way we spotted a couple of pink toe tarantulas, squirrel monkeys jumping in between the trees, and a couple of  Toucans perched on top off the canopy.   Soon, we arrived to an area where there were plenty of well-structured hanging bridges, allowing us to have a better view of the surrounding areas.

After lunch, we went on a skiff ride along the river banks to spot a few squirrel monkeys and a flock of large bill terns fishing along the river.

We came back to the ship with an incredible sunset, ready to continue our exploration.
