Overnight, the bridge team of National Geographic Explorer navigated the North Sea, heading towards the IJmuiden Canal. We spent the morning cruising Amsterdam’s canals by small, glass-roofed boats and then explored the world-famous Rijksmuseum or enjoyed a walking tour of historic downtown Amsterdam. After lunch, guests had a difficult choice in activities! Some ventured out on a tour of the Stock Exchange and the Dutch East India Company. Others visited the renowned Maritime Museum, while still others explored a countryside farm to see how Dutch cheese and wooden clogs are made! After a full day of activities, we gathered for dinner and an incredible live music performance by Vernon Chatlein and his trio aboard our beautiful ship. What a fantastic and unforgettable day!
