After a couple of busy days exploring the stunning Kimberley region, we opted for a more leisurely start today with a delicious brunch aboard National Geographic Orion. Following our meal, we enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of where our talented chefs prepare the delectable dishes we savor daily.
In the afternoon, Naturalist Martin – the esteemed author who literally wrote the book on the Kimberley region – gave an enlightening talk on the intricate geology of this ancient, desolate landscape. Our resident bird expert, Phil, then captivated us with a discussion on the remarkable ways citizen science and technology are enhancing our collective knowledge of avian life.
