We crossed the equator yesterday and the 180 meridian today, two lines that help us navigate the planet. This expedition has now sailed in the four hemispheres and covered over 3,500 nautical miles (and counting), one of our longest and most rewarding trips. Another day at sea provided incredible views of sooty shearwaters finishing their migration from Alaska or Kamchatka. The birds are just a couple days away from their nesting grounds in New Zealand. Very interesting talks and workshops were offered during the day.
