On our journey sailing south through Baja California’s west coast, we experienced an improvement in sea conditions. As we scanned the horizon, which was now free of any white caps, any living thing became less challenging to find. At a distance, we spotted three humpback whales. As we approached, one of them breached right in front of National Geographic Venture. While we watched the whales, a large group of long-beaked common dolphins approached the ship. We spent an incredible time in middle of a natural spectacle, surrounded by marine life.
