Yesterday, National Geographic Orion sailed away from an extraordinary two-day visit to Asmat, Indonesia, a highlight of the trip for all. And today, we sail toward a new adventure in Samarai, Papua New Guinea. Our full day at sea offered us fun gatherings, presentations, and views of the wide-open ocean before us. The galley team put together a special event on the outside deck: a sausage and pretzel brunch! Bloody Marys were prepped and ready for all. Buns toasted on the barbecue were served with sausages and caramelized onions, and hot split pea soup was on offer. What a perfect surprise on this overcast day at sea. Outstanding! We can’t wait to see what will happen on tomorrow’s sea day.
