This morning, soft colors filled the sky as we awoke in Bahia Almejas (Bay of Clams) and started our first full day of adventures aboard National Geographic Sea Lion. Bahia Almejas is at the southern end of Bahia Magdalena (Magdalena Bay) and is known for incredible whale sightings.
Our activities started on nearby Isla Santa Margarita to stretch our legs. Guests had various activities to choose from to stretch their legs and expand their minds in a new pristine location – kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, nature walks and photo instruction.
In the afternoon, pangueros from Puerto Chale meet us with pangas and took two separate groups to find whales. For those guests staying aboard, photography instructor Eric Kruszewski gave a presentation on expedition photography.
