We started the day on Bartolome Island with a pre-breakfast hike to the top of the hill, where we saw one of the most amazing views of the Galapagos Islands: the Bartolome Pinnacle. After the hike, we visited a beach where guests had the opportunity to practice snorkeling for the first time. After gaining confidence, we swam to deeper water. Several Galapagos penguins swam around us. Then we returned to National Geographic Islander to prepare for our second opportunity to get in the water. This time, we observed sharks, rays, and more Galapagos penguins.
During the afternoon, we headed to Cerro Dragon, located on Santa Cruz Island. We explored the area, keeping our eyes open for land iguanas. Lucky us! We saw many of them all over the place.
