Today we had an early start on Bartolome Island. The idea was to climb four hundred wooden steps to get to the top. This wooden trail was built to stop the erosion, because this island is formed mostly with compacted ash, which is also called tuff cone.  We got to the top before the sun was too hot, the view was beautiful and very pleasant at this time of the day.

On the way down we talked about the geology of this island.  It couldn’t have had been a better place for this very important topic about this oceanic archipelago, born from the ocean floor through volcanic activity.

Latter in the morning we had a more relaxing excursion on the beach. This time we were ready to go snorkeling or swimming in the very refreshing water.

To continue our exploration we sailed a couple of hours toward another island known as Rabida Island.  In order to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this location, we offered several activities, such as deep water snorkeling, kayaking, and a short hike along the beach to enjoy another spectacular Galapagos sunset.

It was hard to believe that our day was over as it seemed like a long time ago when we started our morning activity on another Island.

All these amazing moments will stay with us forever because Galapagos is a unique and amazing place you have to visit to really appreciate.
