In the early morning we visited a small island called Bartolomé. We went for an exploration walk as soon as we landed. It was fascinating to encounter interesting lava features and small volcanos dotting the landscape as we headed to the interior of the island. As we walked we also climbed the slopes of this island all the way to the very top. The views from there are fascinating! It was the best geology display in front of our eyes.

Bartolomé is a magnificent place to spend some time on the beach and also to snorkel. After breakfast we landed on this golden beach for swimming and snorkeling. This was our first snorkeling outing of our journey and it was beautiful!

In the afternoon we landed on Rábida Island. This one is located at the center of the Galápagos Islands and it has a particular destinction, which is the red color of the sand. As soon as we reached our destination we grabbed our snorkeling gear and boarded the fleet of Zodiacs to explore another snorkeling site. This was an incredible experience due to the presence of sea lions, sharks, sea turtles and the incredible abundance of fish of different types and colors!

Later on we landed on the iconic red sand beach for a walk. This beach is also home to a colony of Galapagos sea lions and a good place to find sea and land birds. The landscape is amazing, the red beach glows under the sun and we all had an incredible sunset!
