Today was an incredible day with great weather conditions! The Galapagos Archipelago is known for its spectacular snorkeling and scuba diving sites, and today we were able to snorkel twice. The morning was spent on the little island of Bartolome, with an early hike to the summit, snorkeling off the golden sandy beach, and deep water snorkeling. It was amazing, plenty of colorful fish, white-tipped reef sharks, rays, eels and Galapagos penguins. In the afternoon, the National Geographic Endeavour II navigated to the Bainbridge Islets, where our Captain Eduardo Neira maneuvered to bring us close to the land. From the sky deck we observed the brackish water lagoon and over twenty flamingos.

Our guests enjoyed a second snorkeling opportunity of the day, at the protected channel between Sombrero Chino Islet and the big island of Santiago. It was a gorgeous day in paradise.
