Today we had our first full day of our trip between Panama and Cost a Rica but in reality our adventure started yesterday, right after we got on board the sea National Geography Sea Lion, because as soon the last person was on board we head straight to the Gatun Locks to start the beginning of our crossing of the Panama Canal, and we were so lucky to do the first part of it during day time.

So this morning we awoke haft way through the Panama Canal and had the great privilege to stop our crossing and get off the ship to explore what is known as BCI which stands to red clay island in Spanish, which is one of the most well studied pieces of tropical rain forest in the world and the biggest island created when they build the Panama Canal and it’s been run under the Smithsonian Administration for more than 50 years.

After our morning in BCI we were ready to continue our transit of the rest of Panama Canal on our way to the Pacific Ocean
