To make the most of our day and as we regularly do, we woke up early and explored by skiff an area of the upper Amazon called the Belluda caño before breakfast.
It proved a successful outing, we saw both species of macaws we were aiming to see and much more. After watching red-bellied and blue-and-yellow macaws along the belluda canal we found many other species of birds that actively searched for food. Probably the best sight of the day where mammals though. Night monkeys and monk saki monkeys.
