We woke early in the morning to a beautiful sail through the iceberg-covered waters of the Lemaire Channel. After discovering our landing at Booth Island was too packed in with ice, we sailed around to the other side and were able to have a wonderful hike and Zodiac cruise. The afternoon was spent at Port Lockroy where guests were able to see nesting gentoo penguin colonies and enjoy a bit of history and shopping. The evening was spent peacefully with a beautiful sunset over the mountains as the ship remained parked in the fast ice until morning.
