We started the day navigating into Briand Fjord where we found the perfect shelter to lower the kayaks and explore the snowy glaciated fjord. Just before lunch dreams came true, as the brave, or perhaps slightly illogical, polar plunged into the below freezing water.
In the afternoon, we navigated to one of the highlights of Antarctica, the Lemaire Channel. The towering peaks of the continent and Booth Island rise straight out of the sea to create a stunning landscape and we took our time enjoying the view as we cruised through the channel.
After an action-packed recap and delicious dinner, our wonderful day was brought to its peak as we all danced to the music of the crew band, the Spice Boyz!
