This morning started with a lovely sunrise over the surf at Caletas Beach in Costa Rica. We had yoga stretch class, breakfast, and a short expedition landing craft ride to shore for our morning adventure. Ten people signed up for horseback riding and enjoyed the two hour trail in the forest and on the beach viewing wildlife. Other groups meandered the trails at the landing site for long and premise walks, hoping to see monkeys, leaf cutter ants, blue morpho butterflies, and many species of birds. After our activities, the gracious hotel crew set out a fantastic picnic lunch for all to enjoy, while chatting with the local craft artists and making gift purchases.
The afternoon allowed time for a siesta, during positioning, to the national park site for our waterfall and trail hikes. The groups again had a chance to connect with the natural world engaging and spotting monkeys, birds, and insects. It was a beautiful sunset over the ocean and all were delighted by the wonderful dinner.
