This morning, National Geographic Endurance entered Perseverance Bay on Campell Island as breakfast ended. Shortly after, the first round of Zodiac cruises began in blustery conditions! By the time we returned to the ship, conditions had deteriorated to the point that the second round was called off. A decision was made to leave for Macquarie Island in hopes of beating the advancing storm heading in its direction. We spent the rest of the day at sea in hopes of having a chance to land before the storm hits Macquarie!
