It was another wonderful day on National Geographic Sea Lion as our journey nears its end. We traveled to Thomas Bay, and the ship anchored near Cascade Creek. After a delicious breakfast on board, we made our way to land via Zodiacs. Our naturalist and photo instructor provided information about the temperate rainforest of Southeast Alaska as they took guests on hikes. Guests also had the opportunity to relax and have fun with kayaks and paddleboards before going back to National Geographic Sea Lion for lunch.
It was a beautiful day to look for wildlife at sea from the bow of the ship. Guests were rewarded with the appearance of humpback whales. Our captain slowed down and maneuvered the ship for a better view. The joy upon seeing the majestic animals was thrilling, and we could not look away as we headed into the sunset.
