We woke up right next to the greenery of the Amazonian forest. Some of us woke up early to spot some birds around our mother ship and get a chance to photograph with early morning light.

We rode our skiffs to explore a high ground forest area known as Casual Rainforest. We had a dry landing and soon were welcomed by our local guide, he led our way further into the wilderness and we searched for a few critters.  We spotted a few arboreal frogs along the way, as well as one juvenile porcupine, a young green Anaconda, pink toe tarantula and learned about adaptations of plants in the rainforest.

Along the trail, we also spotted a couple of termite nests and a few insects perched on the dry vegetation. It was interesting to see how much is hidden among the vegetation and without the help of our local guides we would never be able to see what was camouflaged among the vegetation.

On our way back, we had the opportunity to buy some the handicrafts produced by the natives of the area; some of them made out of piranha teeth and other local natural materials.
