What a beautiful day in Southeast Alaska! Before the breakfast bell even rang, we were greeted by several humpback whales breaching during a stunning sunrise of light rays through the clouds. The bow was filled with amazed guests, still waking up from their slumber.
Guests went on morning hikes at Fox Creek on Chichagof Island, walking through the lush foliage of this temperate rainforest. After lunch, the ship relocated north for an afternoon of illustrious Zodiac tours through the Inian Islands. We saw sea lions, humpback whales, sea otters, bald eagles, and even one tufted puffin with a mouthful of fish! It was a lovely day onboard National Geographic Sea Lion.
