Today we woke up to a nice cloudy day in the Amazon, giving us good light for photography. Along the ride, we spotted some black collar hawks, neo-tropical cormorants, and a large number of great egrets not far away from the river bank, feeding halfway up to the canopy.
After our morning exploration, the crew on board were extremely knowledgeable and showed us how to cook Peruvian ceviche.
After lunch, we went out to explore again and found some red belly macaws and dusky-headed parakeets in small flocks flying above us. We went to a local handicraft market where we all had the opportunity to share a local experience and buy from the artisans. Then we walked towards a small lagoon to get an amazing view of the giant lily pads floating on the surface of the pond.
