Today we started our navigation on the Marañon River, and later we reached the Ucayali River, passing by the confluence that creates the majestic Amazon River. We started our day with a birdwatching outing before breakfast and we enjoyed great sightings with beautiful light conditions. After breakfast, we visited San Francisco community, where local residents shared their knowledge and traditions with us. Later on we returned to the ship for lunch and experienced a very interesting exhibition of Amazon exotic fruits led by our local gastronomy experts.

In the afternoon, we divided into groups for kayaking and skiffs to explore Clavero Lake. Here, the highlight was the pigmy marmoset, a very rare species of primate. Finally, after dinner we enjoyed a fantastic musical show interpreted by our talented crew, who are not only great on their daily duties but also have amazing artistic skills. During dinner we recounted the great experiences of today, and everyone agreed that this was a very successful day of expedition—and the adventure still goes on!
