After a long navigation the National Geographic Sea Lion saw the sunrise over the lush rainforest archipelago of over 200 islands that comprises the Coiba Marine Park. Coiba, the large island was a penal colony until the year 2000, were the last prisoners were move to other locations in Panama. Therefore the main island plus its hundreds of little ones were protected from the massive tourism developers.

Today was a water activity day: kayak, stand up paddle boarding, snorkel, and beach walking, reading under idyllic coconut palms, or just floating in the ocean of a thousand colors.
