This morning, we left Corpach behind and spent much of the day transiting the scenic Caledonian Canal.
With presentations from our staff and amazing views on all sides of the vessel, it was a nice cozy morning for us onboard. Especially of note was ascending Neptune’s Staircase, a dramatic series of eight locks and the narrow tree-lined Laggan Avenue.
In the afternoon, we disembarked at Kytra Lock and enjoyed a stroll or bike ride along the canal to meet the ship in Fort Augustus. Upon arrival in Fort Augustus, some of us set out for a hike into the fields and woodlands, while others stayed in town to check out the shops and pub.
Tomorrow is the last full day of our wonderful journey.
