National Geographic Sea Bird awoke to exceptional views of Endicott Arm while cruising towards the face of Dawes Glacier. After we traveled as far into Endicott Arm as the ice allowed, guests embarked onto our expedition Zodiacs to venture further towards the glacier. Along our journey, we spotted harbor seals hauled out on the ice floes as well as spectacular calving events off Dawes Glacier.

In the afternoon, National Geographic Sea Bird ventured out of Endicott Arm into Holkham Bay. There, we spotted our first humpback whales of the trip, topped off with some breaching behavior.

What a way to spend our first full day aboard, with plenty of potential and hope for spectacular days to follow!
