Kia ora and greetings…again!
We had a day at sea in the Subantarctic Ocean, heading south towards our destination, Stewart Island, the third island of mainland New Zealand.
We are right in the heart of a storm battling our way through 10 – 12 metre seas (30 – 36 feet) and constant winds of 50 knots gusting to 65 knots. But the wave direction is in our favor, so we are maintaining a ship speed of around 11.8 knots and making good time towards the mainland.
Guests stayed in bed, enjoying the comfort of their cabins. The late morning was greeted by a magnificent brunch prepared by Chef Rannie and his team and served by Maître d’ Mio and his team. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we continued to enjoy a nice relaxing day on board.
