The sun was shining from the break of dawn, and blue skies graced us throughout the day here in British Colombia. Our morning started at Pirates Cove on De Courcy Island where we offered hikes and Zodiac cruises. Pirates Cove is a small protected marine park, and provides a wide variety of plant life and bird life. We had a beautiful morning exploring this island with its many offerings, both on foot and on our Zodiacs.
In the afternoon we pulled anchor and cruised north looking for wildlife. National Geographic photographer Phil gave a presentation on his work throughout national parks, followed by a fantastic barbeque put on by the hotel department on the back deck of the ship. We soaked up the beautiful sunshine and kept our binoculars glued to the horizon as we scanned the water for marine mammals.
It was another beautiful day in British Colombia, and we look forward to many more to come!
