Today was our last day of exploration in Antarctica, and after spending the expedition exploring the east side of the peninsula, we went back to the west side. Our Expedition Leader, Andy Wolff, was able to book the only two sheltered places in the Shetland Islands.
First, we went to Deception, to Telephone Bay, where we went ashore. The day was windy, but 70 brave explorers went on a hike through this beautiful area.
After enjoying a spectacular hike and taking pictures of some curious penguins, we sailed to Edinburgh Hill. There, we ship cruised and enjoyed this majestic geological formation based on basalt columns.
After that, we enjoyed our last dinner in flat, calm waters before we sailed into the Drake. Ushuaia, see you soon!
