For the past twenty-four hours, the bridge team of National Geographic Explorer has navigated relatively mild seas across the Drake Passage from Ushuaia, Argentina. We are headed to the South Shetland Islands just west of the Antarctic Peninsula. We spent the morning learning about photography. In the afternoon, we prepared our gear for Antarctica and spotted whales and seabirds from the bridge. Guests enjoyed calm seas during a beautifully prepared dinner from Chef Ivan. We are so excited for the adventures that await us!
