It was the first full day of our expedition and we visited Espanola Island. This island is an explosion of wildlife! The morning was spent at Gardner Bay, a gorgeous white sandy beach with turquoise waters, where Galapagos sea lions love to rest. The first snorkeling opportunity right off the beach and deep water snorkeling by Gardner Islet. During the afternoon we enjoyed a great hike at Punta Suarez; colorful marine iguanas, Espanola lava lizards, Galapagos sea lions including a new born; Nazca boobies, waved albatross and the top predator of the Archipelago, the Galapagos hawk! What an incredible bay and this is only the beginning of a trip of a life time!
