We are exploring the beautiful island of Espanola, located on the southeasternmost corner of the archipelago and surrounded by nutrient rich water.

In the early morning, we started our day by kayaking along the cliffside, where we found blue-footed boobies, herons, and many sea lions and sea turtles sticking their heads out of the water to breathe. Later, we snorkeled and swam off the coast of the beautiful white sand beach of Garner Bay.

In the afternoon, we hiked through the nesting grounds of the waved albatross. These beautiful marine birds are now in full display. While walking through, we had the incredible experience of witnessing the courtship ritual dance and call of this magnificent animal. We also found Nazca boobies nesting all around the cliff and piles of marine iguanas basking under the sun.
