Today we experienced a great combination of walks, Zodiac rides, and snorkeling around Santiago Island. Early in the morning we landed on Espumilla Beach, giving us the opportunity to do photography and trekking. Some of us walked on an old forest of mangroves and Palo Santo trees, while other chose an astonishing black sandy beach. The views in this area were spectacular, as well as the opportunities to enjoy bird watching. Later in the morning we went to snorkel and explore Bucanneer´s Cove in our Zodiacs. Water visibility was just amazing! We spotted white-tipped sharks, rays, and a wide variety of fish. After a great lunch we landed on Puerto Egas where our guests shared some time with a small colony of sea lions. After having some time on this beach, we walked along the coast looking for the Galapagos fur seals and the many seabirds that can be found on this island. We ended up finishing the day with a wonderful barbeque while enjoying the beauty of a clear night in the Galapagos.
