Santiago Island has a very reach human history in Galapagos, because in the early 1800’s Charles Darwin set foot on the Island to collect specimens and do some geological studies, This island was also visited by pirates, whalers and explores as well. In the mid-nineteen hundreds Hector Egas start a salt mining operation with no much success. Today we had the whole day to explore in three visitor sites with different activities in the water and land.
