Fakarava. It took a few of us a while to work out how to say the name of this island properly, but it only took moments for us to appreciate its natural beauty. While we enjoyed an amazing breakfast once again created by the ever-hardworking hospitality team, some of the expedition staff went out and scouted for snorkeling and diving locations. After we had our time on this remote part of the atoll, we pulled up anchor on National Geographic Orion and headed to the northern part of Fakarava, where we could explore the island by bicycle or on foot.
