Today we woke up in the Bolivar Canal, which lies between Isabela and Fernandina Islands. A thick fog was close to the water and it took a while to be able to see clearly. Our efforts were rewarded when we spotted several tropical whales and manta rays on the surface of the water. We landed on Punta Espinosa to see flightless cormorants, sea lions and hundreds of marine iguanas basking in the sunlight.

After the visit, we snorkeled in 64 degrees water and spotted several pacific green sea turtles, marine iguanas and flightless cormorants swimming unconcerned by our being there. Then we navigated due north for a visit to Punta Vicente Roca where we swam and rode the zodiacs along the shore. This magical day ended with wine tasting along the equatorial line.
