Today we had a huge surprise during breakfast when we spotted a blue whale very close to the ship. It has been seven years since I last saw one of these amazing cetaceans. It came so close to the ship that we could even spot some remoras on its body.

Later in the morning we explored Fernandina Island. There are so many marine iguanas here, in the thousands. Imagine being surrounded by seven volcanoes, except we didn’t have to imagine it, we were there. The volcanic features of Fernandina and Isabela Islands are breathtaking. We explored the coast of Isabela Island in the afternoon and saw many endemic species of the Galapagos Archipelago.

To finish this magical day, we started navigation to cross the equatorial line as we had some wine tasting at sunset catered for us.
