We visited Punta Cormorant on Floreana at 6:15 am, landed on a sandy beach and saw blue-footed boobies, flamingoes, fly catchers, lava lizards and walked a gravel path to a flour like white sandy beach used for sea turtles as a nesting site.

Later we came back on board to have breakfast and after we went to explore Champion Islet on our Zodiacs. In Galapagos, we have four species of mockingbirds, today we tried our luck in finding the Floreana or Charles mockingbird that is in danger of extinction. Champion Islet is a nice place to spot many types of sea birds such as noddy terns, Nazca boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, petrels, sea gulls and colonies of sea lions playing in the water.

Snorkeling was also fabulous around the islet and we had several young Galapagos sea lions play with us throughout the activity.

In the afternoon we moved to visit Post Office Bay, here we went through the mail; to find postcards to deliver as tradition dictates while some guests preferred to stay at the beach for snorkeling with sea turtles.

Kayaking was sensational with spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, seas lions and iguanas along the route.

After all this excitement, we had wine tasting and dinner waiting for us.
