Española Island

Today we have had a more leisurely day, having a delicious breakfast at eight o’clock; then at nine thirty we started the last day full of experience by exploring one of the most beautiful islands, Española Island. We found a newly born baby sea lion on the white sand coral beach of Gardner bay. We relaxed and walked along the beach exploring the surroundings and getting a close view of the most colorful marine iguanas and Galápagos mockingbirds along with some other endemic species of the Galápagos.

Some of the guests went to snorkel and some of them went to kayak - here is one of the few true locations in the world’s paradise where Homo sapiens get total contact with the rest of nature’s creation.

We disembarked in the afternoon to Punta Suarez where the Waved albatrosses call home, and at this time of the year we can observe them in their courtship.Marine birds are so impressive in the way they have adapted to different environments and how much they have specialized in order to survive.
