Punta Vicente Roca and Fernandina Islands

The geology of these two places is astonishing; these islands have become a reminder of a dazzling rebellious nature, found all over the coastline.

Many things could happen to people during this visit: one of them is the sense of discovery, which drives them to do and enjoy activities they never thought possible. For instance, to be so immersed in volcanic formation and different type of lava flows and so many interesting shapes. Besides lava formations and tall volcanoes, we all had a good time watching some of the most incredible biota of the western side of the archipelago.

We saw the rare ocean sunfish, two tropical whales, flightless cormorants with chicks and eggs, penguins standing on top of small lava tubes with cactus and mangrove trees in the background and sea turtles, they were all over. When a group of snorkelers descended into the water the turtles allowed everyone a proximity and coexistence without fear, even underwater.

In places like the Galápagos where our deep willingness of learning crosses paths with an amazing number of animals and species, appreciation for nature arises.

Today we were feeling connected with the splendor of the island, exposed to the gentle breeze, sea-mist and breathtaking views, making today’s visit another memorable experience in the Galápagos.
