North Seymour Island
It is a very exciting time of the year to visit North Seymour Island. Wildlife is extremely abundant in this small paradise. During every single minute you spend on the island, your attention will be trapped by extraordinary sightings. Inquisitive young Galapagos sea lions, majestic Galapagos land iguanas, big colonies of frigate birds and colorful courting blue footed boobies were seen everywhere on this small piece of heaven on Earth.
Today in particular, additional factors increased the intrinsic beauty of the island in a big way. The ever changing seasonal weather conditions that we find hard to predict, were on our side this afternoon. During the walk, we had a refreshing breeze which diminished the characteristic heat of this season. To top the day off, as the sun approached the horizon there was a beautiful sunset which improved as we made our way back to the Islander. Another great day in Galápagos! Our hearts and spirits are prepared for the exciting expeditions ahead in the coming days.
