Dragon Hill & Chinese Hat

We started our day at the northern part of Santa Cruz Island exploring the trails of Dragon Hil. We found over a dozen of land iguanas with a dragonlike appearance staring at us as if we were invaders in their land. This first visit gave us an overview of Galápagos and of how diverse the habitats and landscapes can be on one single island.

Shortly afterwards we went deep water snorkeling to a group of rocks called Guy Fawkes; the underwater world at this site was full of life, with a lot of fish, sea lions and lots of marine invertebrates along the coast.

Later in the day after our lunch we set sail to a tiny island off the coast of Santiago called Chinese Hat. As soon as we arrived our guests were offered many options; some of them went kayaking to see the wonderful and unique geology of this site; some others went to do snorkeling, or on a glass bottom boat ride; many things where seen such as sharks, lots of fish, penguins, sea lions, marine iguanas and flamingos.

We had a great day full of emotions, the time seems to by going too fast for all of us, but every single special moment in this wonderful paradise will stay recorder in our minds for ever.
