What a wonderful time we all had with the musicians on board last night! A local group came on board and played some traditional music and shared some dances (or ballet folklorico) from the Andes. Afterwards many of us stayed up late dancing merengue and salsa. Everyone agreed that the Ecuadorian staff on board were fantastic dancers and teachers as well. What a treat!

A real highlight for the day was getting to see a gigantic wild Galapagos Tortoise at the Galapagos National Park. He must have been 120 years old and weighed probably three times as much as me! I never would have thought that a tortoise would make me feel so small! His shell, legs, and entire body were just massive. Being in the presence of such a beautiful, old animal of the Galapagos was an experience none of us will forget.
