Floreana and Isabela Islands

I love jumping in these pristine waters of the Galápagos Islands, to feel its warmth, to see how it boils with life, to be surrounded by colors, experiencing this three dimensional world where a human body can be so flexible. There are many reasons for loving swimming in the blue Pacific, it is like becoming a different creature myself, getting fins instead of legs, gills instead of lungs, I feel weightless and pretty heavy, both at the same time. It is hard to describe, but a great feeling. And most of our guests enjoyed the same experience today; I would say that more than 80% of Polaris guests went snorkeling and I can also say that the same percentage swam with playful sea lions and saw colorful king angelfish and moorish idols. The early morning Zodiac ride exposed us to our very first Galápagos penguins, and in the afternoon we visited a lovely fishing village. For the first time, we met Galápagos giant tortoises and the greater pink flamingoes that inhabit the equator, at this longitude. But the water, the colors, and the magnificence of the sea…those top my day!
