March started with a beautiful sunrise, and then we had two big groups of common dolphins that were swimming together and "bow-riding."

Next we saw several blue whales, followed by sperm whales. Some of our staff members went out in a Zodiac to listen to the whales with a hydrophone, so the rest of us could hear them on the ship's PA system!

In the afternoon we arrived at Isla San Jos‚, where we hiked. As we walked, we saw several desert plants and land birds. After hiking we swam on a very beautiful beach; the water was very clear. At sunset we had a barbecue on the beach, where stargazed through a telescope.
