The Sea Lion spent the entire day in Glacier Bay National Park. After picking up a National Park Service Ranger at 6 am we cruised up Tarr Inlet, the west arm of Glacier Bay. Our first pause en route was at South Marble Island where a herd of real sea lions entertained everyone on the Sea Lion.

Although there was some light rain it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the guests. Geologic features were pointed out with the aid of our on-board geologic map and naturalists. Our close approach to Margerie and Grand Pacific Glaciers enabled us to observe excellent calving events at the front of Margerie Glacier.

The photo shows one of the guests photographing the terminus of Margerie Glacier.
